The “ASU Guest” wireless connection is not an encrypted network. This connection only allows general internet access for Web http, https, and VPN. Nearest Airport 

The Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport is roughly 10 miles west of the ASU Tempe Campus. If you are not driving, you can get to Tempe and the campus from any of the terminals by first hopping on the free shuttle to the 44th and Washington St. Light Rail Station, and take the eastbound train (towards Mesa). See below for more details.


Taxi/Cabs 

Taking a cab from the airport to the hotel will cost roughly US$20. Cabs are best hired from the north side of Terminals 3 and 4.


Light Rail and Buses:

The Valley Metro is the public transportation system for the Greater Phoenix Area. The Light Rail connects Tempe to Phoenix. The following light rail stops are particularly noteworthy.


- 44th St and Washington St. (map): Get on or off here and take the free shuttle to and from the Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport. From this station it is eastbound (towards Mesa) to get to the ASU Tempe campus. From downtown Tempe or campus, it is westbound to get to this station.

- Mill Ave. and 3rd St. (map): This stop is right in the heart of downtown Tempe, which is the stretch of Mill Ave north of University Dr.

- University Dr. and Rural Rd. (map): At the eastern edge of ASU campus and a few minutes walk to Goldwater Center.

- Veterans Way and College Ave. (map): This stop is located within the northern part of the ASU campus.

When traveling to the Downtown Phoenix campus from the Tempe campus, travel on the westbound trains to the Central Station at Van Buren Street and Central Avenue. Returning to the Tempe campus, the closest eastbound station is at Van Buren and 1st Avenue.
